Mayor of Burlington Township

Mayor         Statement
Green

E.L. “Pete” Green

I am honored and privileged to serve as Mayor of Burlington Township, a community in which I have lived and raised a family for over 30 years. Serving the residents of Burlington Township is a unique opportunity given the Township’s long history of active, well-informed citizens who value thoughtful civic engagement, beautiful homes and wonderful parks, outstanding educational & recreational opportunities for our children, diversity and high-quality services.

As an elected member of our Town Council from 1994 to 2021 and an appointed member of Various Boards over the years, I understand the many opportunities and challenges facing Burlington Township. This experience also has reinforced my belief that our community has the passion, creativity, and vision to grow and prosper in this forever changing world.

My professional and business background along with my day-to-day experience as a resident, a husband, a parent, a neighbor, a home and prior local business owner, living and working alongside all of you, will be the compass that guides us ahead.

I look forward to meeting you at community events, neighborhood events, recreational activities, meetings, and around town. I am particularly interested in hearing your thoughts and ideas about living and working in this unique community. Together with Council we will chart a course that fulfills our shared desire to live in a vibrant, welcoming, and progressive community and that harnesses all the energy and promise of our vision for the future.

As Mayor, I have a change of “hat”, but never a change of “heart”.
