BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP CORONA VIRUS UPDATE #9
As of April 20, 2020, the Burlington County Health Department has advised that the total
number of individuals who have tested positive in our community for COVID19 is 175, with 6 of
those individuals having been released from quarantine and 9 members of our community have
departed this life. The totals place the Township second in the number of positive cases and
deaths. The Mayor, Council and the entire Burlington Township community send our sincere
condolences to the family and friends of our neighbors who have passed.
These numbers continue to increase. Yesterday, there were fifteen new positive cases
and sadly, two deaths, a 46 year old male and a 76 year old male. There are no more official
details available that can be shared at this time. The chart below has been prepared to show the
number of new cases reported in the Township since April 4, 2020 to demonstrate the rapid
spread of the virus in our community. We are hopeful that the number of cases will soon
plateau but need the continued cooperation and patience of our community.
We ask that you continue to follow the directives of the Governor’s stay at home order.
Practice good social distancing practices. It is recommended that you wear a mask when out in
the public. Continue to avoid unnecessary gatherings.
Brian Carlin, Mayor
Louis Ferrara, Administrator
