Burlington Township is seeking an Assistant Sewer Superintendent for our Wastewater Treatment facility along with 26 pumping stations. Our sewage authority treats up to an average of 3.65 million gallons per day of wastewater from households, commercial and industrial facilities. We are looking for an honest, dedicated and motivated individual who is looking for a solid career path and to learn and grow in the field of wastewater.
Successful candidates will be required to have a minimum of an S2-C2 License and will be required to obtain a NJ DEP S3-C3 within 3 years of hire date. They will also need to have a CDL with a tanker endorsement. The Assistant Superintendent will work directly under the Sewer Superintendent and shall be responsible to assist with the management of the workforce.
Duties will include but not limited to: Monitoring treatment plant and collection system SCADA systems, assists in supervising the operation of the treatment plant and pumping stations, assist in supervising maintenance and repairs to machinery, equipment, motors, pumps and structures, On- call to respond to emergencies and breakdowns in the system; coordinate manpower and equipment including the emergency procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and workers from available sources, assist in daily work assignments and NJDEP compliance reporting.
