VOTE BY MAIL INFORMATION
As you may be aware, 2020 is also an election year. The Governor has made the New Jersey election a ‘Vote By Mail’ process. There will be fewer polling places and ‘in person’ balloting will be by provisional ballot. The County Clerk is in the process of mailing out the ballots.
The change from “in-person” elections presents new challenges and questions for those who wish to exercise their voting franchise. The State of New Jersey has provided a thorough “Vote-by-Mail” Information Portal to provide residents with information and answer questions regarding the vote by mail process https://www.nj.gov/state/elections/. This informative website covers a wide range of topics such as (a) Register to Vote, (b) Am I Registered, How to Vote, (c) Track your Ballot, (d) Secure Drop Box locations, (e) Polling Locations, (f) Military Voting and (g) Frequently Asked Questions. Your ballot can be mailed from the post office or wherever your mail is collected. You can drop your ballot at the Secure Drop Box located by the rear entrance of the Burlington Township Municipal Building (it is a red, white and blue box located just beyond the tax office window). The ballots will be will be picked up by representatives from the County Election Office and brought directly to the County. You may also hand deliver it to the County Board of Election Offices at 50 Rancocas Road, Mt. Holly, New Jersey. Finally, you can deliver your mail-in ballot to your designated polling place on Election Day.
If you plan to vote in-person, the polling locations are:
Districts 1, 2, 3, 5 at Beverly Rd. Fire House - Meeting Room , 1001 Beverly Rd.
Districts 4, 6, 19 at Church of the Nazarene - Foyer , 704 Sunset Rd
Districts 9, 14, 15, 18 at Thomas O. Hopkins School - Faulkner Gym , 710 Jacksonville Rd.
Districts 7, 8 at Middle School at Springside - Gym , 1600 Burlington Bypass
Districts 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17 at Relief Fire Company - Banquet Room , 1020 Neck Rd.
