Burlington Township Winter Weather Update- More snow coming our way
The National Weather Service is forecasting a winter storm for our area beginning Sunday and continuing into Monday. Snowfall and windy conditions are expected, which may create slower travel conditions at times.
Burlington Township Public Works crews are monitoring conditions and are prepared to respond to keep roadways safe and passable throughout the event.
Snow Plowing Operations
Plowing follows a priority system. Main roadways are cleared first to support emergency services, followed by neighborhood and secondary streets as conditions allow.
Snow Emergency Reminder — Ordinance 15:2
During snow events, all vehicles must be removed from Township streets to allow plows to safely and effectively clear roadways. Vehicles left on the street significantly delay snow removal operations and may create safety hazards.
Residents are also reminded:
• Do not shovel, plow, or blow snow into the roadway.
• Remove portable basketball hoops and other obstacles from curb areas.
• The Township is not responsible for clearing snow around mailboxes.
How Residents Can Help
• Park vehicles in driveways or off-street locations during the storm.
• If possible, limit unnecessary travel during heavier snowfall so crews and first responders can work safely.
• Wait until plowing operations are complete before final driveway cleanup, as multiple passes may be required.
Sidewalk Safety Reminder — Ordinance 520-13
Property owners and tenants must clear snow and ice from sidewalks and fire hydrants adjacent to their property within 24 hours after the storm ends.
Power Outages
